Warrant requested in slayings of 4 Detroit women in ?Backpage? case
A warrant is being sought in the slayings of four Detroit women whose bodies were found in car trunks after three of them placed online escort ads. The Wayne County prosecutor's office says the warrant request was being reviewed Friday, but no decision was expected by the end of the day. Two men, ages 32 and 24, were arrested Tuesday and questioned in the case. They were arrested in Sterling Heights, north of Detroit. The bodies of 24-year-old Demesha Hunt and her 23-year-old cousin, Renisha Landers, were found Dec. 19 in separate car trunks in Detroit. The bodies of Natasha Curtis and Vernithea McCrary were found Christmas Day in the trunk of burning car. Three of the slain women had placed ads for "prearranged adult dating services" on, like, is an Internet bulletin board with listings for everything from child care to auto parts and forums on numerous topics. took down its "adult services" section after several widely publicized cases, including the so-called “Craigslist Killer” case, in which Phillip Markoff was charged with the armed robbery and murder of a masseuse he had hired through the web site, and the armed robbery of two other women he also found through the site. Markoff committed suicide in jail awaiting trial.

We do indeed find it appalling that the Dept. of Labor is engaged in a national team effort to fight against human trafficking in both labor and sex, yet will set-aside any regulation or over-site regarding the most valuable asset our collective future worldwide has available, our children!
